Thanks for visiting today for this look at the Rod Stewart songs we all know and love. As you will find on this site I am a big fan of Rod and have been following him since his first chart success with Maggie May in 1971.

Mike D’Abo also wrote Build Me Up Buttercup which was a number 2 hit in 1968  for The Foundations. I didn’t know that fact until today.

  1. Hi Frank – Unfortunately i do not have Facebook so I don’t think that i am able to leave a ‘like’ on your page but this is a really good and informative site. I stumbled upon it by chance whilst i was looking to find a comprehensive list of Rod Stewart albums to see if I was missing any. Like you I am a huge Rod fan although I came to the party a bit later than you as the first album that I bought was Atlantic Crossing, as I was probably more into Sweet and T Rex etc in the early 70s before I really started to appreciate Rod’s music. I first saw him at the NEC around 1978 and must have seen him 30-40 times since then. I can see that you have put a lot of effort into this site and i have bookmarked it to come back and have a look at some of the other stuff when I have a little more time to spare. All the best.
