Welcome to this post on Bob Marley albums. I have concentrated on the albums that made the charts, Catch a Fire being the first in 1973. This was Bob Marley and the Wailers 5th album.

One of the most loved Bob Marley albums in my music collection is Legend which I have listened to countless times as I am sure you have too.

“Legend” is a timeless compilation album that serves as a perfect introduction to the legendary Bob Marley and his band, The Wailers. Released in 1984, this album has become one of the best-selling reggae albums of all time, showcasing Marley’s iconic hits and musical legacy.

I cannot finish this post without mentioning the passing of Bob Marley. In July 1977, Marley was diagnosed with a type of malignant melanoma under the nail of his right big toe. He refused to take the doctors advice to amputate the toe as he said it was against his religious beliefs.He died on the 11th May 1981, aged 36, due to the spread of melanoma to his lungs and brain.
