Barbra Streisand first made the charts in the UK in 1965 with Second Hand Rose from the My Name Is Barbra, Two album. Second Hand Rose made it to number 14 in the UK charts and the album My Name Is Barbra, Two reached number 6 in the album chart.

It would be another 5 years before Streisand reached the singles chart again in the UK. She had Stoney End from the Stoney End album reach number 27 in 1970. The album reached number 28.

In 1973 she had a worldwide hit with The Way We Were from the film of the same name. It was a surprise to learn it only reached number 31 in the UK.

 

 

 

1976 was another great year for Barbra Streisand with a massive hit with Evergreen a song from the A Star Is Born. Streisand starred in the film with Kris Kristoffensen. The song reached number 3 in the UK.

Their were two more hits to come in the 70s and both were duets. You Don’t Bring Me Flowers with Neil Diamond got to number 5 in 1978. The following year she had a number 3 hit with No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) alongside Donna Summer.
