Very Best Of Rod StewartIn this article I am going to give you all the information you want with this Rod Stewart songs List. I have seen Rod live 4 times over the years and he still gives a great concert to this day.

I saw him twice at Birmingham NEC, once at Cardiff castle and once at the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff. I have just booked tickets to go see Rod at Plymouth Argyle’s ground on the 24th June 2023 two days before our 30th wedding anniversary.

When I got married to my wife Gill in 1993 we played You’re In My Heart (The Final Acclaim) for our first dance as man and wife. A great song and a great night.

  1. Hi, Frank.

Thank you for this great blog post. I read “RodvSteward” and I had to continue reading. My parents actually met at one of his concerts. I like his songs, too, especially “I am sailing” and ” Every Beat of my heart.” I’ve never seen him live, though. Must have been a wonderful experience. I don’t know, but is he actually still giving concerts, or is he retired already? He must be well in his 70s by now.

Anyway, thank you for this amazing article.

Sending you much love, happiness, and many blessings.

    1. Hi Alexandra,
Thanks for the comment, in the answer to your question about Rod, he is still doing concerts and in fact is doing a tour here in the UK at the moment. Not bad for 74 and still looking good, I think having a younger wife may have something to do with it:)

  2. Hi there, Rod Stewart is before my time but I’m gaining a better appreciation of music from earlier decades which is one of the reasons I wanted to read your article. Thanks for sharing, I look forward to listening to some of the songs. How did you become such a big Rod Stewart fan?

    1. Hi Tamika,
Thanks for the comment, I was 15 when Rod had his first big hit in 1971 with Maggie May and I have loved his music ever since. I wasn’t so keen on the American songbook albums he did a couple of years ago, I love the old rocker Rod.

  3. Hi Frank,

Great post, thank you! Rod will always be one of my go-to artists. It’s amazing how I always go back to the 70’s hits. I guess those were my formative years, before getting married and having kids, lol.

He’s just one of those guys who never seems to age, lol. There are a few artists like that. I wonder what it is? haha.

Anyway, I appreciated reading about Rod, and look forward to more articles like this.

    1. Hi Suzanne, thanks for the comment. You can’t beat the music in the 70’s, the best decade music wise in my opinion. I am enjoying writing these posts and listening to all the old songs although I mostly listen to 70’s stuff anyway. Of the new music I do like Paulo Nutini, if you haven’t heard his music check it out and let me know what you think. last Request is a good song of his.

Thanks again for the comment, Frank

    Sir Rod Stewart
What do you say? Longevity, never growing old and still got it!!
Thank you for reminding me of his talent and ability to wow a crowd – long may it be so.
Handbags and Gladrags – 1 of my favourite songs of all time and of course lets not forget Maggie May.
Once again Frank thank you for the nostalga and the memories.

    1. Hi Sandra, Rod is one of if not THE best artists of all time. With his unique voice and stage presence he still hold the audience in the palm of his hand.

Handbags and Gladrags is a great song but The Stereophonics had a big hit with it. They did the song exactly the way Rod did it and made a fortune.
I went to see Rod about the time this version was out and before he sang Handbags and Gladrags he said this was my song first.

Maggie May is definitely an all time classic. Who can believe it was 48 years ago it was No.1.

      Thanks for visiting,
