There were 18 number one songs in 1979. Y.M.C.A. by Village People was the first number 1 of the year and the year and the decade finished with Pink Floyd with Another Brick In The Wall (part II). You have to admit there were some fantastic songs in the 1970’s but not all could make it to number 1. I will take a look at some of these in other posts so please visit again and look for updates.
